Several workshops and symposia have been accepted for the Academy of Management meetings in Vancouver (August 2014) that feature research contributions of our Subject Area. Amongst others, Markus Reitzig will present joint work with Boris Maciejovsky in a PDW on “Current Research in Organization Design: Topics, Tools, and Triumphs” (organizers Oliver Baumann, Felipe Csaszar, Dorthe Døjbak Håkonsson, John Joseph, Phanish Puranam,Marlo Raveendran, Nils Stieglitz, Charles Williams). Prof. Reitzig will also feature as an expert panellist in a symposium entitled “What is New About ‘Openness’ ? Implications for Value Creation and Value Capture” (organizers Christina Kyprianou, Daniel Chaffin).

Current research of the Strategy Subject Area will be highlighted at the 2015 TOM (Theoretical Organizational Models) Meeting held at the Università Ca' Foscari in Venice at the end of May 2015. The general theme of the meeting will be “Structure and Adaptation” and Helge Klapper will present the paper “Strategic information sharing in decision-making hierarchies” (joint-work with Phanish Puranam, Boris Maciejovsky, Markus Reitzig).
